Weekend Wrapup: Made In Manhattan

Guys!!! I am so sorry for the technical difficulties this week. I have so many goodies coming to you, just be patient with me.

I am painfully aware that the aforementioned “Weekend Wrapup” is coming on the eve of yet another weekend, but maybe it will inspire you to add some color to your weekend.

Last Friday (10/12), some of my favorite gal pals and I headed over to The Empire Room for “Hi-Definition Fridays.”

It has been months since I have seen my girl Kourtney, and I have only hung out with my sissy poo, Brittany once since her birthday in July. Unacceptable and long overdue. If you know me, it takes a lot for me to retain relationships. Relationships, whether intimate or platonic, are commitments to be there for each other through the good and the bad. Those are real relationships. Saying you know someone because you can recite their first and last names isn’t a relationship, it’s an acquaintanceship.  For the first time in my life, my core group of friends are so like me. Full of life. Career oriented. Fun. Caring. Witty. Beautiful. My friends mean everything to me.

The night started off a little dry, but inevitably picked up speed!!! The drinks are a little pricey, but man are they strong!!! At some point I was just jumping up and down. LOL

I kept trying to catch a pic of her doing her drag dance, but Kourtney is the Posing Queen.

Overall, it was a very good night.

Saturday, I took in some much needed [window] retail therapy. In my past life I was a Visual Merchandiser. We entice you to stop into stores by providing out-of-this-world displays. If you happen to be in SoHo, you’ll see me taking in the breathtaking windows.

Check out the sickness by Italian tile house,  SICIS. Pardon the crude photography skills. I’m a work in progress:

Moral Of The Story: Life can be so black and white. Add some color. Avail yourself to it. And if the people you surround yourself don’t provide beauty to your life, then they have no business occupying your time.
