Word Of The Day: Contumacious

the_

It’s my birthday month, and in less than 24 hours, I will officially be 25!!! I wanted to share another integral part of who I am with you.

Behind closed doors, my very nearest and dearest have bestowed upon me nicknames based on my intelligence and drive. My sister [in-life], Brittany, has labeled me “Webster,” while others simply call me “A+” (which has a very lengthy back story stemming from my profound derriere and how “astounding” it is to my “Aficionado” and “All About It” attitude. “A+” is much easier than all of that)

I have decided to add my favorite favorite FAVORITE internet hobby to the mix: learning new words. Sometimes these will new phrases, outdated words, or newly stumbled.

I came across this lovely in high school during my SAT prep class and loved it so much I painted it on my bedroom wall. Judge me not.

Contumacious:

con·tu·ma·cious

  [kon-too-mey-shuhs, -tyoo-]  adjective

stubbornly perverse or rebellious; willfully and obstinately disobedient.
