Pepsi may have snagged Beyonce and the Super Bowl Halftime show, but Coca-Cola seems to have a FEW counter attacks up its sleeves.
Japanese designer Nigo has designed a capsule collection for Coca-Cola paying honor to the soft drink. The 10 piece collection, released on Nigo’s new Human Made label in conjunction with Japanese retailer Beams, are inspired by the wears of Coke’s vendors including Cover-All Jacket, Work Shirt, Vendor Cap, Jodhpur shorts, Sweatshirt, and an assortment of T- shirts.
“A lot of the Human Made pieces have a roughly hewn aesthetic from a bygone industrial uniform era. Therefore, Coke’s vendor wear from the 1900s was a natural fit in my mind,” says the designer.
“I have been wearing Coca-Cola since back in high school – be it vintage T’s or my retro red Coke leather jacket, which is one of my most prized possessions.”
Note the vintage Coca-Cola logo that dates back to the early 1900s! Cool stuff.
