Repost from here:
Marc Jacobs has been named Diet Coke’s Creative Director. Jacobs aided in the design of three distinct cans, three bottles and three add campaigns in accordance with the fashion of the Eighties, Nineties and Aughts. As the diet soft drink prepares to celebrate it 30th anniversary of its invasion of Europe, Jacobs wanted the packaging to be “whimsical, feminine” and even altered the Diet Coke logo to be more “colorful and fun.”
Marc joins the ranks of Karl Lagerfeld, who held the title of Creative Director in 2011, and design extraordinaire, Jean Paul Gaultier, in 2012.
The first cans and bottles are to be available in 11 European markets including the UK, France and Iceland next month. So if you happen to be abroad, please bring me back a bottle or three!!!
