It’s a great week to be James Franco. In addition to new film, “Oz: The Great and Powerful” smashing the box office this weekend with a $80.3 million debut, Franco also received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
If you happen to be in Hollywood anytime soon, take a drive over to 6838 Hollywood Boulevard in front of the El Capitan Theatre, and there you will find the 2,492nd star inscribed with Franco’s name.
James tells adoring fans his dreams of being among the stars.
“When I got to L.A., I’d come here and see the stars and it just seemed like it was something that was part of the city and you would never crack that, it was part of Hollywood history… It’ still baffling that my name will be there.”
Franco was joined by former costar Seth Rogen (“Freaks and Geeks”, Pineapple Express), Spider-Man director, Sam Raimi and mother Betsey. Rogen, never one to shy away from a moment of pure comedy said this about his friend/colleague’s award,
“I’ve actually thrown-up right there,” Rogen revealed at the ceremony, “It’s a good spot.”
Congrats to James!!! You deserve it!!!
