New Music: Kelly Rowland Feat. Beyonce and Michelle Williams, “You Changed” AND Kelly Rowland Feat. Wiz Khalifa, “Gone”

I cannot deny: I have been grooving to this song all week. But I felt it was appropriate to save it until Friday for all of my ladies (and gents) going through or at the tail end of a breakup. It’s okay to be upset, but don’t stay upset. Go to the back of your closet, throw on one of your beautiful “freakum dresses”, you know the ones your man had a problem with and thought you got rid of (LOL you know we all have them!!!), grab your best gal or guy pals and let the bull go. Go dancing, go get a drink, go have some fun to distract yourself from the hurt or anger. It is another summery weekend, get your ass up out of those sweatpants and put down the spoon as you slowly back away from the Ben & Jerry’s.

Kelly Rowland recruits her former bandmates Beyonce and Michelle Williams for the two-step, groove worthy, “You Changed.” Kelly exorcises her life of the man in her life that has changed. Like I said before, this is definitely my new breakup song.

“You’re looking like someone came and rained on your parade.”

“But when my tears dropped, where the hell were you?”

“If our love was a game, you just lost.”

In other Kelly related news, she teams up for another “eff your life” post-breakup song, “Gone” featuring Mr. Wiz Khalifa. The song takes a look at what happens when you let a good thing go. But honey, when Ms. Kelly is done, she is done!!! *adds to break up no make up playlist on Spotify* Wiz plays the unconvinced beau that thinks she’ll be right back. Hmmph.

Both songs will be available on Kelly’s new album, Talk A Good Game, due for release June 18, the same day as J. Cole’s Born Sinner, Kanye West’s Yeezus and Mac Miller’s Watching Movies With the Sound Off. Also the same day as Rihanna’s sophomore collection for MAC.
