Is it safe to rename 2013 the Year of The Carters because clearly they have no interest in letting up on their winning streak.Without detailing the ever growing length of accomplishments that they have acquired over the last eight months, one half of the Carter duo is presenting more unprecedented moves by the day.
Let us recall a few weeks ago when the former hyphenate conglomerate that is Jay Z took over the Pace Gallery in New York for six solid hours as his song, “Picasso Baby” played on repeat to a crowd of celeb (like Marina Abramović, Wale, Taraji Henson, Jemima Kirke, Cynthia Rowley) and non-celeb fans alike.
This Friday, August 2, Jay Z will release that the film “Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film” at 11 pm on HBO. Wife Beyonce had her own feature length documentary on the premium channel earlier this year which I’ve watched more than I am willing to admit at this time.
