Her latest scent, “Beyonce Rise,” a play I suppose on Mercury and its ability to climb, arrives just in time for the release of her latest self-titled album. For the perfume, in stores February 2014, Bey Bey partnered with Loc Dong of International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) and Coty Beauty to bring the latest Eau de Beyonce to life.
The scent is “designed to go beyond the sensuality and electricity of her stage persona to reveal a bit more of her personality,” says WWD.
The scent, which centers around the Golden Symphony Orchid in a beautiful gold bottle, is all about the power of femininity.
“The spirit of RISE encourages women to be all that we are,” Beyonce expresses in her press release for the scent.
““The fragrance concept is about female empowerment and finding the inner strength that makes women so beautiful. [Beyonce] has done a lot of fruity florals. She’s done gourmands. Pulse was this electric citrus-y floral. This is sexy and sophisticated. We tested it in multiple countries with excellent results,” said Marsha Brooks, Vice President of Global Marketing at Coty Beauty.
