Whatever Happened To That Girl?

Hey Alyssa, Where Have You Been?
Hey Alyssa, Where Have You Been?

It’s been about two months since I updated Peacock Under Pressure, and for very good though inexcusable reasons. I’ve been up for hours trying to go back to sleep to no avail, so this is as good a time as any to recap. To start, at the end of 2013, a series of events occurred that, in essence, altered my entire life as it stood. Bad news: My ace, my grandfather, passed away. My grandfather and I were fiercely close, but I am at peace with all matters involved. You see, I am not one of those people that fear death. It’s an inevitable feat that we’re all bound to undertake, so why fear it? I believe, instead, that we must live our lives with significant gusto, take chances, win, lose, succeed, fail, but always try, and that’s exactly what my grandfather did. So though he may be gone in the physical form, he is ever present in my spirit, and I think that’s very cool.

Now onto to the good news: I started a new job!!! After years of complaining and absolutely hating my former job, I have blessed with a beautiful new opportunity that I do not take for granted. I really love my job, and strive everyday to put my best foot forward. Can you say #winning?

And more good news: I have decided to revamp the site. I am done regurgitating information that you can find anywhere else. That was not the vision I had when I started on this journey. I wanted to create a dialogue using the entertainment and fashion industry as the catalyst, not summarize it. And that’s exactly what I plan to do.

And now that I’ve found the perfect location for photo shoots, I am finally committing to providing more personal style and laughs.

And by the way, #SuperBowlSunday was my birthday!!! #Aquarian season is in full effect!!!! Candid shots and full outfit details coming soon!

Be Extraordinary AND BETTER! Alyssa Peacock
